Alan Rycroft has provided leadership in communications and marketing, fund development and non-profit growth since 1985, within non-profit, government and private sectors. He has raised over $100 million.

His expertise includes philanthropy, mass media, government relations, digital/social media, and major and legacy gifts. He has an MA in professional communication from Royal Roads University.

Alan Rycroft provided leadership at Victoria Cool Aid Society for 15 years, where he was a member of the Senior Management Team as Community Relations Manager. Cool Aid had 350 employees in 19 locations.

He was successful in creating a strong public presence for Cool Aid, and led in obtaining many millions of dollars for community services, plus the development of five affordable apartment buildings and the Access Health Centre in downtown Victoria.

As an active volunteer director, he helped transform the world-renowned Hermann's Jazz Club into a non-profit: the Arts On View Society.

Mr. Rycroft is now semi-retired and helps a variety of non-profits grow and raise their profile, with a focus on climate change, saving old growth forests and Indigenous justice.
